All you need: Knife, plate, kettle, heatproof jug (that fits over butter and on plate) and 5 minutes!
Process: Dice your butter and place in a mound on a plate. Boil the kettle, pour into the jug, and allow the water to heat the jug for 2 mins. Pour off the water and place the jug over the butter for 5 mins. Repeat process if butter is still a little hard.
