ALL YOU NEED : Lemons, baking soda and elbow grease!
PROCESS : For meringues / pavlovas, squeeze a little lemon juice into the your bowl, rub around with some kitchen paper. The acid in the lemon removes any residue oil and ensures your egg white mixture is fat free.
Same applies to jars, wash as usual, then wipe a couple of teaspoons of lemon juice around the inside to pick up any smells or sticky bits, you’re good to go.
For burnt pots or oven dishes, sprinkle baking soda over burnt pots and use cut lemons as a scourer for instantly clean results. Or use cut lemons to freshen sinks and clean glasses.
